PTA Meeting and Summer Camp Fair – next Wed, Jan 16
Summer Camp Fair will be in the Atrium from 5-7 pm and the PTA meeting will
start at 6:30 pm in the Multipurpose Room.

DCPS Soliciting Feedback on SY 2019-20 Calendar Proposals
DCPS is looking for feedback from the community on the SY 2019-20 calendar. The first
day of school will be Monday, August 26, 2019 for traditional calendar schools and
Monday, August 12, 2019 for extended year schools. Based on these starting dates, we
have developed proposals for the 2019-2020 school calendar and are inviting public
feedback. Please encourage your students, staff, and community members to review
the proposals on the DCPS website and share feedback by Friday, January 25.

2019 Deal Open House Dates and Musical
Open houses are an opportunity for prospective families to tour Deal and get
information for the 2019-2020 school year.
• Friday, January 11th – 9:00-11:00 (Principal’s chat at 9:45)
• Saturday, January 26th – 9:00-12:00

Another good way for future Deal students to become familiar with the school is to
attend a school performance. The 7th grade musical is this month:
