FIRST SHEPHERD PTO MEETING – TOMORROW (Wed, Sept 16) at 6:30 pm

SHEPHERD PTO AND LSAT ELECTION NOMINATIONS – DEADLINE EXTENDED
This deadline for PTO and LSAT election nominations has been extended to MON, SEPT 21.
Thanks to Michelle Musgrove, Ronnie Pearcy and Julia Marnon Lipton for leading this year’s Nominating Committee.

PTO board positions open to all candidates: Co-Presidents (2), Vice President, Treasurer, Assistant Treasurer, Corresponding Secretary and Recording Secretary. 7 positions in total.
LSAT is a mix of teachers, non-instructional staff, parents and community members who help to advise the Principal on school direction, budget, goals, metrics, etc.
We will vote online for positions by the end of Sept. More coming soon!

Greetings, Parents and Families: As your school psychologist, it is a pleasure to serve you and our Mustangs for SY 2020 – 2021! As we continue to forge ahead during the COVID-19 pandemic, along with the pursuit of racial equity and social justice, it is vital to maintain our mental health wellness.
Throughout the school year, mental health support services and resources will be provided for our students and families, as well as teachers and staff. Remember, we are all in this together! Teen Book Club will be reading Black Flamingo for the month of September. Black Flamingo is a book by Dean Atta, written in verse where we follow an individual who always finds himself unable to identify with anybody pertaining to ethnic group, gender, and more. Family Movie Night: Bundles of family friendly movies are now available! The bags include a movie, a bag of popcorn, activity sheets, and coloring sheets to be used in your next family movie night.
