It’s time again for the monthly Teacher and Staff breakfast – thanks to all who’ve signed up for this one! Bring in items on Monday morning between 7:30-8:30 am in the Resource Center room behind the main office. Click here to sign up!
Wed, Dec 19 – PTA meeting and Teacher/Staff Holiday Party
Holiday party for teachers and staff from 4-6 pm – we’ll be in the Special Ed room next to the Art Room. To come help staff the party, click here! If you can’t be there, but would like to support – contact Raven Padgett at [email protected].
PTA MEETING at 6:30 – Agenda: Principal Brawley will talk about our STAR Rating, DCPS Budget/Advocacy Update, PAVE guest speaker, Gala updates, and discussion about the Shepherd Park Community Center initiative.
Childcare and pizza will be provided, and we’ll have t-shirts and hoodies on sale!
Thurs, Dec 20 – Mama Lucia’s Shepherd Restaurant Night

Sat, Dec 22 Volunteer Opportunity
Join fellow parent, Kori Heyward of Kori Kakes, to volunteer at Franklin Square from 10:00 am-12:30 pm to handout hot food to the homeless in downtown DC. Contact Kori at [email protected] for more details.
Basketball Hoop Update
Council Member Todd and DCPS Central Office have begun the procurement process for mobile hoops for Shepherd! We look forward to sharing updates regarding their delivery and installation. We all recognize the importance of physical activity and we are thankful for everyone who has contributed their time and resources to this effort.
