Common Core State Standards (CCSS) guide the learning and teaching at Shepherd Elementary. As a DC Public School, we use common core to ensure that students are prepared to succeed both academically and professionally. These high-quality math and ELA standards are informed by top-performing countries and have been implemented in 41 US states as well as the District of Columbia.
