Family Engagement

Our families, and the broader Shepherd community, are what really helps Shepherd standout as one of the best DCPS elementary schools. Each year, Shepherd's Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) aims to connect broadly with our families and the community by sponsoring events and volunteer opportunities that bring us together in support of Shepherd Elementary. Other opportunities to "Give Back to Shepherd" include serving on our Local School Advisory Team (LSAT), being a Room Parent for your child's classroom, or joining our Volunteer Corps.
