Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)

Shepherd implements Next Generation of Science Standards (NGSS), which is a set of science standards based upon the National Research Council’s 2011 Framework for Kindergarten through Grade 12 Science Education. NGSS focuses on science and engineering practices, emphasize critical thinking, designing solutions to real-world problems, and are a conducive to project-based learning. STEMscopes curriculum is used to propel STEM education at Shepherd.
