Shepherd Elementary School PTO's biggest fundraiser of the year – the 18th Annual Spring Gala and Auction – will be held on Saturday, April 1st, 2023, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library in Washington, DC. This year's event will honor Shepherd's teachers and staff, and will feature an open bar and heavy hors d'oeuvres from Occasions Catering. Our main event for the evening will be our silent auction, which will feature a variety of items such as class projects, themed baskets, and donated items from local businesses! We hope to raise over $60,000 this year to support Shepherd's academic and enrichment programs, which will ensure Shepherd has sufficient resources to remain one of the finest DC public schools serving PK3 to 5th grade students.

Shepherd Elementary School is in its 9th decade of providing quality public education to the diverse population of elementary students in the Shepherd Park, Colonial Village, and North Portal Estates neighborhoods of Washington, DC. It is one of the few DC public schools to have achieved accreditation for its International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Program for students aged 3 to 12. Shepherd's dedicated staff strives to develop inquisitive, international-minded learners who think globally and act compassionately.
